Kitty Cam

300-all-dayWe’ve all heard the term: when the cat’s away the mice do play. Ever wonder what your cat does while you’re away?

One way to find out is get an electronic watch dog: the Pet’s Eye View digital camera. The 4.5-oz device fastens to any collar wider than 3/8 of an inch, and is both Mac and PC compatible. Compact, it’s a hair more than 2-inches tall by 2-inches wide.

The interval timer can be set to snap shots at one-, five- and 15-minute intervals. Short on space, it only stores around 40 .jpgs. So, the one-second setting will barely give you enough time to get out the door, while the 15-minute interval spans approximately 10 hours. Plenty of time to see some shenanigans.

100-pets-eyeWhen you get home, just plug it into you’re computer via USB and voila!—a visual journey of your cat’s exploits.

Most cats are creatures of the night, and unfortunately, night vision is not a feature. Reviews are mixed, but if you can’t help yourself, you can purchase it through online-gadget guru ThinkGeek for $49.99—and rack up 550 Geek Points.

Be warned, curiosity killed the cat. This product is not recommended for avid butt lickers.
